FUND RAISING NEWS………………
Dear
Parents, Players and Cheerleaders:
Welcome to the 2008
Season of Fairport Pop Warner!
The
information below outlines our fund raising efforts for this year’s season.
Please read all the information carefully and contact Jen Gaudioso (377-9551
or
fundraiser@fairportpopwarner.com) with any questions, concerns or your
willingness to help with any of the events.
1.
RAFFLE- Every player and cheerleader are responsible for purchasing 30
raffle tickets at $2 each. Post dated checks (dated 8/1/08) will be
accepted in the amount of $60 to obtain your equipment or uniform on handout
days. Your $60 will be returned to you directly as you sell each ticket. 1st
prize is $500, 2nd prize is $300 and 3rd prize is
$100. All completed ticket stubs must be returned to your “team parent” by
Tuesday 8/5/08. The raffle will take at the practice fields on Thursday
8/7/08.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS
IS A REQUIRED EVENT FOR ALL.

CLOTHING SALE- This years clothing sale will take place on Wednesday 8/6,
Thursday 8/7, Monday 8/10 and Tuesday 8/11. Look for a tent set up near the
tennis courts at Martha Brown. New items will be available as well as
samples to try on for sizing. Cash/Carry items and prepaid orders (cash or
check) will be taken for many items which include sweatshirts, windbreakers,
jackets, blankets and more!

PIZZA AFTER PRACTICE- Look for slice of pizza ($1 per slice) after practices
on all Thursday’s in August. Family, friends, players and cheerleaders are
welcome to grab a slice to go.
4.
CAR WASHES- Our three competitive cheer squads (JPW, PW, & JM) will be
hosting car washes at three different locations in Fairport on SATURDAY,
AUGUST 9th from 9am-1pm. Locations are TBD. The funds from the
car washes will subsidize tournament expenses. There will be a sign up
sheet at the parent meeting for cheerleaders and parent volunteers as well
as item donations to make this a success! One parent is asked to accompany
their cheerleader.
5.
*NEW* APPLEBEE’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST-
SUNDAY AUGUST 17th from 8am-10am at APPLEBEE’S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL
& BAR 585 Moseley Road, Fairport. Tickets will be available for $5 each
starting Wednesday 8/6 and will remain on sale during the clothing sale. We
will also have a sign up sheet for volunteers to help work the event. Look
for more info to follow during the first week of practice.
6.
Fairport Pop Warner goes GREEN while raising money for our organization. We
have an easy way to donate. All you have to do is drop your bottles and
cans off at the EZ Bottle and Can Return at 1259 Fairport Road. Just
tell them you want the donation to go to Fairport Pop Warner. Drop your
bottles and cans off any time all year long!
7.
Roller Skating Party is back! Spinners is reopening. This will be held
from 6pm-8pm on Sunday October 12, 2008. Cost is $5.00 at the door with
skate or roller blade rental available (paid directly to Spinners).
Concessions will be available. There is no school on Monday………….. please
join us! It’s always a great time!

SECOND ANNUAL CASINO NIGHT IS IN THE WORKS! Look for more details to come.
