Junior Pee Wee White v Chili

Although the weather did not cooperate for the first half, The Fairport Junior PeeWee White team played extremely well all game against the Chili team.
Both lines played well. The JPWW Defensive line with Jake Cicero, Dante Coccia, Brian Conway, Thomas DeLaus, Evan Kaiser, Sammy Nix, Hayden Orth, Austin Sergeant, and Jeremy Woodcock did their best and succeeded in holding Chili on many plays.
The Offensive line with Matt Alberts, Nick Belaskas, Izaiah Cheek, Jalen Cheek, Mason Gasbarre, Ryan Gaudioso, Tyler Knicely, Rory Maher, Jordan O’Connor, Jake Polowchak, Austin Sergeant, and Owen Viniski played a great game but were just never able to capitalize on their talent.

Fairports first attempt to move the ball was aided by Knicely and then Coccia. A final play culminated in a fumble on 4th and 14 for an uneventful Chili takeover at the 50 yard line.
The next plays showed off Fairport’s defensive prowess as they held Chili tight.

The second quarter showcased Viniskis talents but our first possession ended short and Chili took over. Knicely, and Maher each had nice tackles setting up a final tackle by DeLaus after a Chili forward pass that looked like it was going to turn into a touchdown run.
Chilis finished their possession with separate sacks by Knicely and Viniski to end the first half.

As the rain stopped and it started to warm-up, Gasbarre recovered an on sides kick to start the second half as well as Fairports most productive carries all day.

Tackles by Viniski, Kaiser and a touchdown saving shoe string tackle by Gasbarre all led up to a sack and fumble recovery by DeLaus.

A Chili sack and fumble recovery set our opponent up for the only score of the day on a 40 yard run. Kaiser prevented the 2 point conversion to keep the score at Fairport 0, Chili 6.

Kaiser took the kickoff at the 58 yd line and carries by Viniski and Kaiser brought the JPWWs to the 36 before having to hand over possession to Chili where Fairport recovered a fumble on the next play. Fairport carries by Kaiser and Coccia were not enough as Chili took over on the next play capitalizing on a fumble. A touchdown saving tackle and false start brought the ball back to the 50 yard line where Fairports defense held strong.

Fairport took possession on Kaisers fumble recovery. A beautiful pass to Coccia and carries by Viniski, Coccia and Sergeant left Fairports last attempt to move the ball cut short as the quarterback scrambled to elude Chilis defense, and they took over at the 55 yard line.
Chilis last possession saw tackles by Viniski and Coccia and despite all attempts to stop them, a 38 yard run to set Chili up at the 2 yard line with 1st and goal as time ran out.

Final Score: Fairport 0 Chili 6.
